Alexandra Richards is an international model, DJ and Music Supervisor based in New York City. Paralleling the career paths of her mother and father (supermodel Patti Hansen and Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards) in the worlds of music and fashion, Alexandra grew up constantly inspired in an artistic household.
Kicking off her modeling career at the early age of 14, Alexandra landed her first major campaign with Tommy Hilfiger. Since then she has starred in campaigns for Burberry, Dior and Abercrombie to name a few, and has walked the runway for designers like Dolce & Gabbana, Jill Stuart, and Matthew Williamson. In addition, she has been featured striking poses for publications like Vogue, Harpers, Bazaar, Vanity Fair and Cosmopolitan.
As a platform to share her love and appreciation for music, Alexandra started DJing after learning from friends around the city. With her own DJ career starting to take shape, Alexandra started making her name in the New York City club circuit playing at downtown hotspots like, Bungalow 8, Beatrice Inn, 1OAK, Tao, Avenue, and Goldbar.
Establishing herself as a go-to DJ within the fashion, arts and entertainment sectors, Alexandra has curated the sounds for special events with clients including Saint Laurent, Victoria’s Secret, Ralph Lauren, Tiffany & Co., Veuve Cliquot and Samsung, and has performed in global music festivals like Govenors Ball and Secret Solstice.
Her years spent consulting for brands and events have afforded her the experience to help brands ignite audiences and directors achieve their goals. Through her tremendous repertoire of sounds, she found a love for music supervision in film. The films she’s supervised have seen recognition from international festivals such as Clermont- Ferrand, Shnit, Oldenburg, The Pan African Film Festival, and more. Alexandra brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to both music and film and is able to acutely translate a director’s vision into evocative scoring.
Alexandra has also been an advocate of raising awareness about our oceans. As a Board of Director of Project Zero, she oversees projects to restore and protect the ocean all over the world.
